Higher Education Teachers and Trainers Manual
The CREATIVEinGREEN project is pleased to announce the publication of the Higher Education Teachers and Trainers Manual, a pedagogical resource designed to support Higher Education Institutions in implementing the curriculum developed for the Digital User Experience Designer profile.
The manual serves as a practical guide for the delivery of the two courses developed within the project—Greening the Web – Sustainable UX/UI Design and Empowering Creative Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era—addressing the growing need to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills required to operate at the intersection of sustainability, digital innovation, and entrepreneurship within the European Audiovisual and Multimedia (AVM) sector.
Rather than replicating the course content, the manual presents the pedagogical framework underpinning the CREATIVEinGREEN curriculum and provides methodological guidance for its implementation across a variety of higher education contexts. It supports teachers and trainers in understanding the competency-based curriculum structure, the intended learning outcomes, and the progression from foundational knowledge to practical, industry-oriented application.
Organised into ten chapters, the manual covers the key elements required for the effective delivery of the courses, including the project's teaching philosophy, the integration of the green and digital transitions into UX/UI education, active and project-based learning methodologies, assessment strategies, the use of digital tools, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (XR), as well as principles of inclusion, accessibility, sustainability, and the reuse of educational resources.
The document also provides guidance on adapting the courses to different study programmes and institutional contexts, enabling flexible implementation while maintaining academic rigour and ensuring that the curriculum's intended learning outcomes are achieved.
With the publication of this manual, the CREATIVEinGREEN project reinforces its commitment to supporting Higher Education Institutions in modernising their educational provision through innovative pedagogical approaches and by fostering the development of competencies aligned with the challenges of the twin green and digital transition.
The Higher Education Teachers and Trainers Manual is therefore a strategic resource for higher education teachers, trainers, and institutions wishing to integrate the CREATIVEinGREEN curriculum into their educational programmes, contributing to the preparation of a new generation of professionals equipped to address the emerging challenges of the creative and digital industries.
Explore and download the Higher Education Teachers and Trainers Manual from the project's Results section and discover how to implement the CREATIVEinGREEN curriculum within your institution.
